Title

Sugar Critters

Problem Scenario

I choose this experiment to see if ants are more attracted to sweeter foods because I have always wondered whether ants preferred sweet food. Harvester ants usually eat grass but I wanted to see what they would eat when I gave them something other than grass. I think they will be more attracted to sweeter foods.

Broad Question

Are insects attracted to sweeter foods?

Specific Question

Are ants more attracted to sweeter foods?

Hypothesis

I hypothesize that the harvester ants will be more attracted to the serving of food with higher amounts of sugar than the serving with lower amounts of sugar.
